My understanding is that China does _theoretically_ have an organ donor system, it just doesn't have meaningful numbers of donors enrolled in it, partly for cultural reasons, and partly because the government has not really promoted it in any substantial way. For sake of comparison, where I live, everybody who gets a driver's license, which is almost everyone age 16 or older, is specifically asked, at the BMV, "are you willing to be an organ donor?" China has no equivalent mechanism for actively recruiting members of the general population of citizens to be organ donors, and so there are almost no registered organ donors, relative to the size of the population, and so when there's a sudden death, by vehicular accident or whatever, typically nobody even thinks to check whether the deceased might potentially be an organ donor, because of course they aren't. But as I understand it, a registry does exist, in much the same way that recycling initiatives and environmental regulations exist, i.e., in the bottom of a locked filing cabinet stuck in the back a disused lavatory with a sign posted on the door reading "Beware of Leopard", or some such.

The treaty(s) that gave Hong-Kong to the U.K were made with the Qing Dynasty, NOT with the CCP. So how could you "return" Hong-Kong to the CCP, if they never even owned it in the first place? But one of these treaties LEASED some parts of Hong-Kong to the British for 99 years, so technically these LEASED lands were still apart of the Qing Empire, but occupied by the U.K 99 years later, Hong-Kong is given "back" to the CCP & the lease ends. But since the lease was made with the Qing Empire(& not the CCP) then that technically means the lands are still owned by the Qing Empire, & do not belong to the CCP. & thus the Qing technically still exists! Now as a history freak, this is just a fun little thing i thought of............... But as the ruler of a micronation known as the "United Empire of Marica", i have declared war on the Qing Dynasty.
